This coming Sunday, October 25th at 6pm MDT I’m hosting Dr. Justin Sledge of the YouTube series Esoterica on Ask an Anthropologist About Worldbuilding. Dr. Sledge holds a PhD in Religion with a focus on Western Esotericism. He teaches philosophy and religion in the Detroit area, and his work explores the Hermetic and Western esoteric traditions, the philosophical commitments behind magic and alchemy, spirit possession in the early modern Jewish world, the Ancient Near Eastern prophetic tradition, and the Zohar.

I’m excited to have Dr. Sledge answer questions because he’s one of my favorite educational content creators. His work has also been a source of inspiration for my dark fantasy series Shades and Shapes in the Dark. So, if you have questions about alchemy, mysticism, the occult, ancient religions or the esoteric, bring your questions to the livestream or leave them here in the comments.
