Tomorrow night at 5pm MDT I’ll be hosting Dr. Phillips Stevens Jr, an anthropologist with over 50 years of experience researching witchcraft and magic across cultures. He’s also the author of the 2024 book, Rethinking the Anthropology of Magic and Witchcraft: Inherently Human. So if you have a burning question about these topics for your fictional worlds, or just a sincere interest in the topic you can put your question here in the comments, or bring them to our livestream episode.

AAAW: Paranormal Investigations Across Culture
On the October 6th livestream of Ask an Anthropologist About Worldbuilding, I’m hosting Dr. Ryan Goeckner a PhD in anthropology, a paranormal investigator and host of the paranormal podcast Beyond the Human. We’ll be discussing the paranormal across cultures and fielding questions about how to make the paranormal activity in your fictional world believable. How does belief in the paranormal reflect everyday life across cultures? Bring your worldbuilding questions to the livestream or put them here in the comments to help make this conversation, a little more spooky!
